What are you looking forward to this weekend? I was planning to come in to do some lab work but it looks like the experiment I had set up isn’t going to work out which means I now have the weekend off. So I think that is a sign to get in one more beach day before I totally give up on summer.

What I’m Loving Lately

Female Friendships. The power of female friendships is truly understated. We’ve been having almost weekly dinners that we call Witchy Wednesdays where we feast like the queens we are. Tomorrow is shrimp tacos. 🙂

I’ve also been making sure to schedule beach time, brunching, and hiking with the ladies too.

Michelle Obama’s podcast on Spotify and I’m not even a podcast person. I listened to her memoir, Becoming as an audiotape with her reading it and honestly it made my morning commute something I looked forward to which I thought was impossible. I’m so glad she put out a podcast so I can continue to hear her voice and what she has to say because she is just so real but powerful.

Working out from home, it’s really great now that I have my space and I’ve been working out every single day for the last few weeks. I just finished the Chloe Ting 2 Week Shred challenge this past weekend. It kicked my butt but I definitely feel my core is stronger so I’m going to start it again this Friday. Feel free to join me! I also am big fan of the Nike Training Club app. Love it!

Reframing thoughts and self talk to be more  motivational. I’m pretty good at not being negative towards myself. I’m confident. I’m secure. But I recently learned about reframing phrases like I should, I have to, I need to to I will, I choose to, I prefer which is so simple but makes all the difference.
